
| ABOUT KUNDALINI KOMEDY Kundalini Komedy was founded in February 1996 to bring improvisation and comedy in a new direction. The group members are seasoned improv artists who have performed across the country, from New York to Los Angeles to Chicago to Washington D.C., as well as a few places in between. The group has performed at a wide variety of clubs and theaters throughout NYC including HERE, The Gotham Comedy Club, The West Bank Café, The Hudson Guild Theater, Solo Arts, The N.Y. Comedy Club, The Underground, The Access Theater and Surf Reality. In addition to club appearances, Kundalini Komedy has done nine full-length shows; The Book of Joe, The Anger Show, Kundalini Extreme, America America This Is You, Couch, The Reality Sessions, Desire Under the El, Vein City, and, most recently, Kundalini Komedy Sells Out. Kundalini Komedy is: Alex Goldberg, Matt Kalman, Lesley McBurney, Christina Nicosia, Bones Rodriguez, Ean Sheehy, and Laura Valpey. PRESS RELEASES 11/15/01: Improv Gets Metatextual: Comedy does show about comedy group doing TV show about comedy group. 11/19/01: Kundalini Hits Prime Time: Just in time for mid-season replacements, Kundalini Komedy will play opposite popular NBC show. 11/26/01: Kundalini Revamps Show: In standard second episode rettoling, Kundalini Komedy adds cast member to sitcom. 12/03/01: Kundalini Fails to Upend Friends: The NBC sitcom attracted nearly 25 million viewers for their Thursday, November 29 8:00pm airing, while Kundalni, for that same period, had an audience of 35. |
